Academic Results: 2023-2024 School Year
At the close of the 2023-2024 school year, our students took their final iReady assessments. Our teachers already had a good sense of how each student had grown, but these standardized assessments allow us to compare our students' achievement versus national norms.
Students in our lower grades often begin their academic journey at CJA testing below the 50th percentile in both Math and Reading. Our small class sizes, co-teaching model and tailored learning plans enable students to make significant growth during their time with us at CJA.
At the start of the 2023-2024 school year, more than one third of our enrolled students were testing two or more grades below their grade level. 12% of our students began the school year three or more grade levels below in Math, and 16% were three or more grades below in Reading. By May, we saw a very difference story emerge: 97% of our students completed the 2023-2024 school year testing above, on or within one grade of their age-appropriate grade level in Math, and 86% had some the same in Reading.
