Ribbon Cutting: Celebrating Our Growth!

On Saturday, 28 October, over 450 members of our community — students, alumni, families, neighbors, faculty, staff, volunteers and benefactors — came together to celebrate the completion of our 50,000-square-foot campus expansion and the creation of our new girls’ program.

Attendees took part in student-led tours of our expanded campus, visited classroom showcases and enjoyed a performance from our lower school choir.

Jae Rule, CJA Class of 2013 and development team memeber, emceed the program

I don’t know if I’d be the same had I not ended up at CJA.  The love and care they provided us as students and alumni was unmatched…every step of the way, when adversity hit…I knew I could always return home.

Jerrod Castleberry, a member of CJA’s inaugural class of 2009 and member of our Board of Directors, reflected on his lasting connection to CJA.

CJA has been more than a school for me, from helping with high school applications, college applications and even finding a job after college, 10-year old me could not have imagined the support I would receive from the school.

Jacinda Clark, parent of a curent 8th-grade student, offered thanks for CJA.

Special thanks for instilling into our students the importance of demonstrating the values of being open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving and committed to doing justice.

CJA President, Matthew Lynch, closed our time together by reminding us, “Today is a celebration, but it is also very much just a beginning.”

Thank you to everyone who attended and those who have supported the mission of CJA for the last 19 years.  The event was a wonderful celebration of our school community and our shared work, commitment and partnership.

We look forward to CJA’s continued growth and development and are thankful that you are part of our bright future!
