CJA draws students from all over Chicagoland and we have no geographic or neighborhood requirement for admission. At the start of the 2023-2024 school year, 74% of our students were residing on the west side of Chicago including Austin, West Garfield Park and South Lawndale, among others. We also serve students from suburbs including Maywood and Oak Park. We don’t offer transportation but we are able to help connect parents for carpooling.
In 2005 we enrolled our first class of fifth graders. Since their graduation in 2009, we have graduated a total of 393 alumni. But that’s not where the story ends. We provide continuing guidance and support to our alumni through the age of 25 as they chart their paths to meaningful employment.

Chicago Jesuit Academy began serving students on the West Side of Chicago in 2005 with an inaugural class of nineteen 5th-grade boys. In the years that followed, we expanded our building footprint, grew “down” to serve 3rd and 4th graders and recently completed a 50,000 sq. ft. building expansion that is enabling us to grow to serve young women in grades 3-8 in addition to young men. At the start of the 2027-2028 school year, when we have achieved full enrollment, we expect to be educating approximately 426 students and supporting approximately 516 alumni for a combined total of 942.
