What does it mean to be part of the CJA community?
To be part of the CJA community is to love, embrace and help each other chase each other’s dreams and make their dreams come true.
In sixth grade, you have to lead all of your classmates that were in your classroom last year. You need to be a good role model. That means sit up straight, not goof around in class and focus on your work so that they can focus too.
My favorite subject is Economics with Mr. Weber. You get to learn how to save up, to invest and how to make money.
I have two brothers who have graduated from CJA. One is 19, and one just turned 22. He is going to go to college, but he is in the military right now. My other brother is an electrician. I want to make my own path though. I want to be a professional soccer player.
Yes – it was in the fall. I love soccer. We won the Students vs. Faculty/Staff soccer game for the first time in a while. It was amazing! It was one of the highlights of my year.
I love the way they teach you how to learn. I also really love the food. My favorite meal is the mac and cheese! I like Science too because you get to experience it while you learn. My favorite topic in Science is what we’re learning right now, which is the different types of clouds and how weather is formed.
Ms. Hoesterey’s office is right down the hall. We formed a club of the 5th- and 6th- grade Latino boys. We play together, and it’s nice!
I’m thankful for my chance to transfer to CJA. I didn’t like my old school because it felt like I wasn’t learning anything. I’m happy to have the opportunity to be here because I am learning things that I would not have learned at my old school.
My favorite grad-at-grad value is loving because I feel like I reflect that most of the time, meaning I try to show that all the time. For example, if somebody is sad or is trying to get in an argument, I try to break up that argument or learn more about how they’re feeling. I try to find out why they’re sad and what I can do to help them. You never know what someone is dealing with.
