If you had a friend who was thinking about coming to CJA, what would you say to them?
If I had a friend who was thinking about coming here, I would say you should go to CJA because the people here are really friendly, kind and fun. You’re going to meet a lot of new kids that you’re going to make friends with. There are a lot of teachers and a lot of helpers. CJA is a safe place.
It’s been really good. I’ve gotten smarter every single year of school. I’m raising my hand so my teacher can call on me and participate.
My favorite part of the school day is when we do Reading. I like Reading because we get to learn about new things every single trimester. Right now, we are reading about the human body. For instance, if you touch the back of the neck, when you feel those little bumps, those are neck bones!
This is the first big school I’ve ever gone to. I love that we have a playground and a park across the street where we can go play. I also love Art. We’re making masks for Mardi Gras, and we’re starting to paint them. I like painting. I also like Music class. It’s nice that we have a teacher that teaches just Art and a teacher that teaches just Music. I’m excited to play the recorder next year in Music.
I am proud of when my teacher asks me questions, and I get them right.
My favorite Grad-at-Grad values are Loving and Open to Growth. Loving means to show kindness to one another. I’ve been loving helping my sister roller skate because she got roller skates for her birthday. I think being open to growth means that you participate. I’m open to growth by asking a lot of questions and answering the teachers’ questions too.
I’m thankful for my family because they take care of me, and I take care of them. I’m also thankful for coming to this school so I can learn new things and make friends.
It’s kind of easy. I just talked to them, and then we became friends.
