What is something important you’ve learned this year?
Ms. Sumner works with our class. I’ve learned from her to respect and be nice to my classmates. I practice that by saying nice things to people, and I do that outside of school with my friends as well.
I like being a fourth grader at CJA. I’m learning a lot! In Math, I’m learning things like finding common denominators, subtracting and adding decimals.
My favorite subject is Reading. It’s very calming to me, and you don’t need much to do it. Right now, I’m reading The Baby-Sitters Club. My favorite book of the series so far is Claudia and Mean Janine.
I like it! My brother is in seventh grade, and my sister is in second grade. She is coming here next year. I like that I get to see my sibling – siblings next year – in school. It feels good.
My favorite thing about being at CJA is that I get to experience co-curriculars and different activities. I have done Culinary Arts, and this trimester I am doing Cheer and Dance. We had a competition Saturday, and we got third place. I got lifted up in the air!
I’ve learned that you have to trust your team. You have to trust them a lot if you get lifted up in the air like me, and I really trust my team.
I want to be a chef when I grow up. My favorite thing we made were the pumpkin pancakes.
I like the cheeseburgers best. Plus, we have cookies every Friday!
I try to practice what I’m learning, especially if I have a test the next day. I also love to dance. I’ve been dancing since I was two.
My favorite Grad-at-Grad value is Committed to Doing Justice. It’s very valuable. It shouldn’t be hard to do—it’s being nice to people!
I’m grateful that I can look up and have a roof over my head, and I’m grateful that I have siblings in my family, and I’m grateful that I can go to school.
