What is your favorite grad-at-grad value?
I like loving. There’s something about loving. Loving is a big word. You love your friends, your family and your teachers, so it means a lot.
It’s fun having a new teacher, and it’s fun having new students. I get to know other people, and I like sharing what I like to do with new people.
The teachers here are nice, and when they’re not teaching, they’re still nice. Sometimes, if we’re not listening, they may be frustrated, but they tell us calmly. When they teach, they give us fun activities to do so we know how to stay on task and have fun while we’re learning.
I like Math because we do learning activities and we do small groups. It’s fun, and it’s also nice and quiet. Right now, we’re learning about comparing decimals. My other favorite thing about CJA is co-curriculars because it’s a fun part of the school day.
I like to play outside with my friends, and I like to be with my brothers. I also like to play with my pets: I have two birds, a ferret, a turtle and three dogs. The ferret’s name is Buddy. He and I play hide and seek. Outside of school, I like to travel. I like to travel to cities more. I liked a city that I visited in Florida. I can’t remember the name, but it was warm.
In the first trimester, I did Culinary Arts. We cooked a lot of stuff. I like to cook a lot. My grandma and I cooked a cake for her birthday, the 30th of January.
To be a part of the CJA community is to care for others. For example, if someone has allergies, we make sure our school lunch is healthy and free of the allergy. We treat others with respect.
I’m thankful for CJA and for all of the teachers. I’m thankful for the new teachers too, because they have different styles of teaching, and it’s interesting to see the differences.
It means I have to be brave and confident in myself. We talk with our teachers about setting a good example for the younger girls and all students.
